Hiding inappropriate or offensive comments in Teamgage

Hiding Inappropriate or Offensive Comments in Teamgage

At Teamgage, transparency and anonymity are core to the experience. Anonymity empowers team members to be honest, share ideas freely, and raise concerns that lead to meaningful change.
As a Leader or Admin, there may be rare occasions where you decide to hide a submitted comment, usually because the content isn’t appropriate to share with the wider team or contains sensitive information. Teamgage itself will never remove a comment from a submission, but we believe this is a decision and responsibility of the organisation using Teamgage.

When hiding a comment, you’ll be prompted to select a reason and can also include an optional message to provide additional context. You can also choose to offer the submitter the opportunity to start a private, anonymous conversation with you, allowing them to respond, ask questions, or share more about their original comment. Participation is entirely optional. If the submitter chooses not to engage, the conversation will go any further.

How To Hide A Comment

  1. Log into Teamgage
  2. Open your Results Dashboard and find the specific Comment you'd like to Hide
  3. Tap the "three-dots" icon in the top left corner of the Comment card & select Hide
  4. Select a reasons for Hiding
  5. If you choose to add a reason or message, an additional box to "allow them to reply" will appear for you to select if you wish to start a conversation
  6. Hide Comment

Here's What It Looks Like

What Happens After A Comment Is Hidden

Once a comment has been hidden, Teamgage will automatically notify the following people:
  1. The team member who wrote the comment
  2. The Leader who hid the comment
  3. The organisation's Teamgage Admin/s
This notification will include key details:
  1. The content of the comment
  2. Who removed the comment
  3. The selected reason for removal, such as:
    1. Privacy/security/discretion issue
    2. Bullying or harassment
    3. Inappropriate language
  4. The current status of the comment (hidden or reinstated)
If the Leader or Admin has selected to "allow them to reply", the notification will also give the original submitter the option to start a private, anonymous conversation to discuss the comment further.
Even though the team member receives a notification, Teamgage will never reveal the identity of who the original submitter is.

How To Reinstate A Comment After It's Been Hidden

If a comment has been mistakenly hidden or a decision is made to reinstate it, the organisation’s Teamgage Admin can restore the comment.
  1. Login into Teamgage
  2. From the left-hand-side navigation bar, select 'Huddle'
  3. Click on the down arrow
  4. Chose "Hidden Comments"
  5. Find the Comment from list
