Indirect and Direct Managers

Indirect and Direct Managers

Each organisational hierarchy is made up of many different teams. In Teamgage managers of parent teams can access their subteams' results. Therefore the managers of parent teams are considered an indirect manager of their subteams.
For example:
Let an organisational hierachy be as listed below:
  1. Entire Organisation
    1. Senior Leadership Team
    2. Office of Chief Information Officer team
      1. Change Management team
        1. Sydney Process Improvement team
In this organisation, when you are looking at the Managers tab on the Team Details it will show you the total number of managers. In the Inherited from column you can see which are direct vs. indirect. The Sydney Process Improvement team would have indirect managers from both the Change Management team, Office of Chief Information Officer team and the Entire Organisation level. These indirect managers can access all results and remind team to submit but they will not receive the manager notification for the Sydney Process Improvement team.
