Assign a Submission Card to a Team Member
Submission Cards provide an alternative way for frontline, field-based or off-site employees to submit Teamgage feedback without needing access to email, Teams, Slack or SMS notifications.
Each card contains a unique code that links feedback submissions to a specific Teamgage user while maintaining anonymity within the feedback process.
You may need to assign a new Submission Card if:
- A team member has lost their card
- A card has been damaged and needs replacing
- A new employee requires a card
- You are reallocating cards across your workforce
There are two ways to assign a Submission Card:
- Automatically assign the next available card
- Manually assign a specific card number to a user
Before You Start:
Submission Cards are an optional Teamgage communication channel and may incur additional charges depending on your agreement with Teamgage.
Automatically Assign a New Submission Card
This is the quickest option and is recommended when a team member has lost their existing card.
How to Automatically Assign a New Card
- Log into the Teamgage Portal
- Go to Advanced > Submission Cards from the left-hand navigation
- Search for the team member
- Click Edit
- Untick the Active checkbox and click Save
- Return to the Submission Cards list
- Click Auto-Assign
- Teamgage will automatically allocate the next available card
Why deactivate the existing card?
Deactivating the old card ensures it can no longer be used if it is later found or used by another person. This helps maintain the integrity of your feedback process.
Assign a Specific Submission Card
If you have pre-printed cards or need to allocate a particular card number to a specific employee, you can manually assign a card.
How to Assign a Specific Card
- Log into the Teamgage Portal
- Go to Advanced > Submission Cards from the left-hand navigation
- Search for the team member
- Click Edit
- Untick the Active checkbox and click Save
- Return to the Submission Cards list
- Search for the card number you wish to assign
- Click Edit
- Search for and select the team member in the Assign Card To field
- Click Save
Best Practice
If a card has been lost, always deactivate the existing card before assigning a replacement. This prevents multiple active cards being linked to the same user and ensures old cards cannot continue to be used.
