Protecting Users From Auto-Delete
You can protect a user profile from being automatically deleted during a manual data upload or integration sync.
This is useful when some users exist in Teamgage but are not included in the system your user data comes from (such as your HRIS or payroll system). Without this protection, those users may be automatically removed each time a file is uploaded or a data sync runs.
Enabling Protect from auto-delete places a lock on the user profile so it cannot be removed by these automated processes.
How to Protect a User Profile
- Log into the Teamgage platform
- Select Users from the side navigation
- Find the user you want to update (you can use the search bar at the top of the page)
- Click Edit
- Under the Details tab, open the Advanced Settings area
- Check Protected from auto-delete
- Click Save
Once enabled, the user will not be deleted during future data uploads or integration syncs.
