Understanding Safety and Anonymity in Teamgage Conversations
Teamgage Conversations are designed to give every team member a safe space to engage in meaningful, secure, and anonymous dialogue.
If you’ve received a reply to one of your comments and a conversation has been started as part of the feedback process, here’s what you need to know about how your privacy and safety are protected.
Your Anonymity Is Protected
The identity of the original submitter is never revealed in a Teamgage Conversation. Even if you choose to participate, your Leader and your organisation's Admins, cannot see who you are.
Teamgage Shield protects your anonymity at all times, whether you reply once, continue the conversation, or choose not to engage at all.
Participation Is Always Optional
If you're not comfortable replying to a message, that’s completely okay. There is no requirement to respond to any conversation, and there are no consequences for choosing not to participate. You’re in control of how (or whether) the conversation continues.
Who Else Can See The Conversation?
Your Leader and your organisation's Admins can see the conversation.
Senior leaders may also be able to view or contribute to the conversation, depending on your organisation’s settings. This is typically used to ensure appropriate support or oversight when needed, especially for sensitive topics.
Even in these cases, your identity remains anonymous.
Why This Matters
Teamgage Conversations are a way to:
- Show that feedback is heard
- Allow safe, two-way dialogue
- Encourage real action based on team input
- Maintain full trust and anonymity throughout
We’re committed to making sure that every voice can be heard, safely, securely, and respectfully.
