Understanding the Combined Score in Huddle
The Combined Score in Huddle is the average score of your metrics. It provides an overall summary score of how you are tracking across all measured areas.
How to use the Combined Score
Most important part of the Combined Score is the change since last submissions. When looking at your Combined Score change you can ask your team:
- Have we improved? If so what has changed, what is working?
- Or otherwise, what can we do differently to improve?
- What context do I as the leader need to have about how the team are going right now?
Is my Combined Score an Engagement Score?
Your team's Combined Score is not a strict Engagement Score unless your metrics are set as outcome measures of engagement. Most Teamgage customers are measuring drivers of engagement. Therefore the Combined Score is related to engagement in that the higher the Combined Score the more likely your Engagement Scores will be higher. So the more your Combined Score improves the more your engagement will improve. However, if you're looking for a Combined Score that is validated as an Engagement Score by academics you would need to have the specific engagement Metrics set up.
Interpreting the Colours
The default* settings for each colour range is as follows:
- Green: Average scores/ratings between 70-100
- Amber: Average scores/ratings between 50-69
- Red: Average scores/rating between 0-49
*these ranges can be customised on a per organisation basis.
