How to Check Huddle Notification Schedule Inheritance

How to Check Huddle Notification Schedule Inheritance

Teamgage uses notification schedules to automatically remind team members to submit feedback and notify managers when results are available.

Notification schedules can be configured directly on a team or inherited from a parent team higher in your organisational structure. Understanding schedule inheritance helps you quickly identify which teams are receiving Huddle notifications and where those schedules are coming from.

How to Check Notification Schedule Inheritance

  1. Log into the Teamgage platform
  2. Go to Teams > Teams List from the left hand side navigation
  3. Locate the team you wish to review
  4. Review the Reminders column
  5. Check the icons displayed for both Submitters and Managers

Here's What It Looks Like

Understanding the Reminder Icons

Recurring Schedule Set at This Level

This icon indicates a notification schedule has been configured directly on the team.
The team is not inheriting its schedule from a parent team.

Recurring Schedule Inherited

This icon indicates the team is inheriting its notification schedule from a parent team higher in the organisational hierarchy.
Any changes made to the parent team's schedule will automatically apply to this team.

No Schedule Set or Inherited

This icon indicates that no notification schedule exists for the team and no schedule is being inherited.
As a result:
  1. Team members will not receive Huddle submission notifications
  2. Managers will not receive Huddle results notifications

Why Schedule Inheritance Matters

Schedule inheritance allows organisations to manage notification schedules efficiently across large team structures.
Rather than configuring schedules individually for every team, administrators can set a schedule at a parent level and automatically apply it to all child teams underneath.
This helps maintain consistency while reducing administration effort.
