Using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for sharing data files

Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) is a standard approached for securely accessing, transferring and managing large files and sensitive data. Teamgage supports SFTP so you can automate how you share People & Teams/HRIS data without needing to manually upload your People & Teams Data File in the Portal.

Notes about using SFTP

  • Once requested to use SFTP, a dedicated endpoint and will be shared with you securely. Please specify which people in your organisation should receive the secure share when requesting the connection info. If you have your own key pair already, you will need to share your public key with us first so that we can set up your access. If you need us to generate the key pair or are using credentials, please let us know and we will provide the necessary details with the secure share.

  • Please note that files are not automatically processed after upload, so you will need to organise a schedule for processing with Teamgage. You should schedule an update in line with your organisation Huddle/Survey notification schedule. You should ensure the export schedule allows at least 5 business days before your next reminder schedule to ensure processing is complete in time.

  • If possible, we recommend you send an automated notification to support@teamgage.com after uploading a new file to the SFTP endpoint (eg. there is a new HRIS extract available).

How to setup SFTP

  1. Send an email to support@teamgage.com requesting to setup SFTP. Be sure to include:
