In some cases, a user’s primary email address in Teamgage may differ from the one registered with your identity provider for Single Sign-On (SSO).
To resolve this, Teamgage allows you to link additional identities to a user. This means they can continue using their primary email address for communication and identification, while authenticating via their SSO email address (or another supported ID).
Both of the methods below for adding extra user identities require administrator privileges.
Adding an Additional Identity to a User
- Log into the Teamgage platform
- Select Users from the side navigation
- Find the user you want to update (you can use the search bar at the top of the page)
- Click Edit
- Go to the Alterative Identifies tab and click Add identifier
- On the user’s edit page, select the Alternate Identifiers tab
- Under Type, choose Single Sign-On ID
- In the Value field, enter the email address or ID used for SSO
- Click Add identifier to save the changes

Adding Identities In Bulk
If multiple users need additional IDs for SSO, you can upload them in bulk using an import file:
- Download the import spreadsheet template (located at the bottom of this article)
- In the template, complete at least one of the _Match columns:
- Note - Only one is required. You can use a user export to easily find current Teamgage IDs, emails, or custom IDs
- TeamgageID_Match
- Email_Match
- CustomID_Match
- Fill in the AuthID column with the SSO ID that each user will authenticate with
- Upload the file for processing
