Create a Team-Specific Huddle Metric Set
While many organisations use the same Huddle Metric Set across every team, there may be times when a particular department, business unit or location needs additional metrics relevant to their work.
Rather than changing your organisation-wide Metric Set, we recommend creating a new Metric Set specifically for that team. This allows you to retain your core organisational metrics while adding team-specific metrics where required.
For example, your organisation may use the same five core Huddle metrics across every team, but your Customer Service team may also want to track customer satisfaction or call quality.
This process involves four simple steps:
- Check the team's current Metric Set
- Clone the existing Metric Set
- Add your additional metrics
- Apply the new Metric Set to the team
Step 1: Check the Team's Current Metric Set
Before creating a new Metric Set, identify which Metric Set is currently assigned to the team.
- Log into the Teamgage platform
- Select Teams > Teams List from the side navigation
- Locate the team you want to customise
- Hover over the Metric Set column to view the Metric Set currently assigned to that team
You'll use this Metric Set as the starting point for your customised version.
Step 2: Clone the Existing Metric Set
Rather than creating a Metric Set from scratch, clone the existing Metric Set so you can retain your current metrics and simply add the new ones.
We recommend giving the new Metric Set a meaningful name, for example: Core Metrics (Customer Service)
Step 3: Add Your Team-Specific Metrics
Open your newly cloned Metric Set and add the additional metrics required for that team. If the metrics haven't already been created, you'll first need to create them.
Once you've finished updating the Metric Set, click Preview to review the submission page before making it available to your team.
You can copy the Preview URL and share it with other stakeholders to review the submission page before applying it to your team.
Step 4: Apply the New Metric Set
Once you're happy with the new Metric Set, apply it to the relevant team.
The team will now use the new Metric Set for all future Huddle submissions.
