Understanding Response Rates

Understanding Response Rates in Huddle

Response rate refers to the number of people whose Huddle submission counts towards your team's results.

The goal is to make that figure as high as possible - giving more people a voice, collecting more insights and ultimately creating an environment for continuous improvement!

Where can I see the Response rate?

For those with team result access, including managers of teams, you can view a submission rate by looking at the 'Details tab' on the Launch Panel or in the top left hand corner of your team's dashboard where is says "% of possible respondents". This result should also be shared and highlighted during team meetings.

Why is the Response rate important?

The higher your Response rate, the greater visibility you'll have of how your team(s)/organisation is feeling and performing.

How are Response rates calculated?

The Response rate calculation indicates how many team members actually made a submission, as a percentage of the total number that was asked to submit. A team member's submission is considered active for 32 days*, after which time it is closed off. When a submission is closed-off it is no longer contributed to a Metric Score or the team's response rate. This means that if you run a report all submissions made in the previous 32 days of the date selected will be included in the calculation.

How is the submission expiry determined?

By default, your organisation is set up with a 32-day submission expiry* to ensure that there is a continuous timeline and live snapshot of the data on a month-by-month basis.

What happens if a user re-submits their feedback within 32 days?

If a user submits multiple times within a 32-day period, their previous submission will be closed off on the date/time of the new submission and their new ratings will be applied from the new submission date.
If a user re-submits their feedback within a 32-day period, their previous comments will remain visible in the dashboard.
*this is the default submission expiry, however this can be customised. If you'd like to change this range just let our team know on support@teamgage.com
