Using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Teamgage supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for enhanced account security. If enabled, MFA requires users to provide two authentication factors (password and a 6-digit MFA verification code) before they can log in. Please note that if you have opted for Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA configuration will be handled by your SSO Provider not Teamgage. This guide will not work for your organisation if you have SSO on.

How to set up MFA

      1. Log into Teamgage
      2. Click User Icon > Manage Account
      3. Select Manage > Security from the side navigation
      4. Under Multi-Factor Authentication click ACTIVATE NOW
      5. Scan QR code to link with Microsoft or Google Authenticator, you may use your own authenticator app you have installed
      6. Follow the steps to link your authenticator
      7. The app will show you a 6-digit code, which changes every 30 seconds. Type the latest code into Teamgage and click Verify.
      8. If you typed the correct code then you'll see a Success screen. You're all done!
