Applying Membership Changes in the Team Editor

Applying Membership Changes in the Team Editor

In the team editor you can change the name of a team or change the parent team. When you make these changes you will be asked what membership changes you would like to apply.
Info
You will need to have an Admin profile to access the Team section of Teamgage. If you can't see see section, speak to your Teamgage Admin or contact our Support Team (support@teamgage.com).

What are membership changes?

There are three types of membership changes you can choose from:
  1. For All Time: Moves user and results history to the new location.
  2. From Today: Moves to the new location with users but without any previous results. Keeps results history in old location.
  3. From Date: Moves to the new location with user and results history from the date selected until today. Keeps user and results history in old location until the date selected.
  4. Do nothing: No changes to user's team membership or historic submission data.

Example: Changing Parent team

The Sales team was created on the 1st of January.  On the 3rd of August the Sales team was restructured to sit under the COO team. Today is 2nd September and the Teamgage admin is inputting the changes:
  1. For All time:  Moves all users and ALL of the Sales results history (1st Jan-2nd Sep) to the new Entire Organisation > COO > Sales team.
  2. From Today:  Moves all users to the new Entire Organisation > COO > Sales team but does not include the results history (1st of Jan-2nd Sep). The previous results history is stored in the old structure (Entire Organisation > Sales).
  3. From Date:
    1. As the changes were in effect on the 3rd of August the Teamgage admin can retrospectively make that change in Teamgage.
    2. Sales results will stay in Entire Organisation > Sales team from 1st January - 3rd of August.
    3. Entire Organisation > Sales results will count towards Entire Organisation > COO > Sales team from 3rd August.

Here's what it looks like
