Uploading your HRIS data During Implementation

Updating Teamgage with your HRIS data

We suggest this approach for large organisations of over 200 employees. To streamline the updating process you can just upload your HRIS export directly to Teamgage. First you need to check that all of the required fields are included in the file. Then we can apply personalised rules to your organisation to translate your HRIS data into the format we need.

There are 3 simple steps
  1. Export your HRIS data & confirm the required fields
  2. Upload the file in the Teamgage Portal
  3. Teamgage will create your structure 


1. Export your HRIS data & confirm required fields

Once you have exported your HRIS data you need to check it has the following fields which are required in Teamgage:
  1. first name
  2. last name
  3. email address
  4. a link to their manager/team for example:
    1. manager's email or position number
    2. their department/ work group/ division
For further analysis you may include the following fields to allow for demographic analysis:
  1. gender
  2. location
  3. tenure
  4. age/ generation

2. How to upload the file?

Once you've confirmed your HRIS data file contains the required fields, simply upload it in the Teamgage Portal. We take data privacy & security very seriously - we'll never share this data over email. Learn how to securely upload data in Portal here.

3. How to complete the setup process?

If required our team will create rules to transform your data and put them into our data converter so it is ready for all future imports, putting your data in a format that suits us both. Next we will run an import preview for you to check the team structure and team memberships are correct. Learn about the Import Preview here.
