Sidekick

Sidekick is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) capability within Teamgage designed to support leaders in understanding feedback, identifying patterns and responding constructively to their teams.
Sidekick assists leaders across Huddle, Surveys and Conversations by providing AI-generated summaries, suggested themes, coaching guidance and recommended actions based on employee feedback.
Sidekick is designed to support human decision-making and communication. It does not replace human judgement, organisational processes or leadership responsibility.

What Sidekick Can Do

In Huddle and Surveys

Sidekick can help leaders:
  1. Summarise employee feedback
  2. Identify recurring themes and patterns
  3. Highlight potential focus areas
  4. Suggest possible actions for consideration
To help provide greater transparency and confidence in AI-generated outputs, Sidekick also references the original comments used to support its analysis. This allows leaders to review the underlying feedback and apply additional context and judgement when interpreting results.

In Conversations

Sidekick can assist leaders by:
  1. Suggesting constructive response approaches
  2. Supporting clear and thoughtful communication
  3. Providing coaching guidance to help leaders engage effectively with employee feedback

AI-Assisted Feedback Guidance

Some Teamgage configurations may include AI-assisted guidance during the employee submission process.
These prompts are designed to encourage clearer, more constructive and actionable feedback before submission.
Employees remain in full control of the feedback they choose to provide and submit.

Human Oversight

All Sidekick outputs are AI-generated suggestions and should be reviewed critically by users before action is taken.
Leaders and administrators remain responsible for:
  1. Interpreting feedback appropriately
  2. Validating AI-generated outputs
  3. Determining suitable actions
  4. Ensuring decisions are fair, reasonable and contextually appropriate
Sidekick does not independently make employment, performance, disciplinary or organisational decisions.

Limitations of AI Outputs

AI-generated summaries, themes, suggestions and guidance:
  1. May not always reflect the full context of feedback
  2. May occasionally produce incomplete or inaccurate outputs
  3. May reflect biases present in source data
  4. Should not be treated as factual conclusions or the sole basis for decision-making
Human judgement should always be applied when reviewing and responding to AI-assisted outputs.

Privacy and Access

Sidekick operates within Teamgage permission settings and only analyses information users are authorised to access within the platform.
Organisations remain responsible for managing user access and permissions appropriately.

Raising Concerns or Providing Feedback

Users are encouraged to question, validate and challenge AI-generated outputs where appropriate.
