Heatmaps with Teamgage

Heatmaps with Teamgage

Heatmaps help you compare and contrast results across your organisation for both Huddle and Surveys. They give leaders a clear, high-level view of what’s working well and where teams may need additional support.

Use Heatmaps to:
  1. Identify trends and patterns across teams
  2. Highlight high-performing areas
  3. Spot risks early and focus attention where it matters most
Heatmaps are designed to support data-informed leadership conversations, whether you're reviewing results at an organisational level or drilling into individual teams.

Heatmap Views

On the right hand side of the screen, you can see our View toggle switch with a Grid icon or Node icon.
These Heatmap views provide you with two unique ways of analysing, interacting and communicating your results:

Heatmap Grid View

A table-based view that allows leaders and admins to:
  1. Compare results, activity, and engagement across teams
  2. Sort, filter and expand teams for deeper analysis
  3. Review metrics, comments and Teamgage activity in detail

Heatmap Node View

A visual, node-based view that brings your organisation structure to life.
This view helps senior leaders:
  1. See organisational patterns at a glance
  2. Move from a 10,000-ft view down into individual teams
  3. Quickly identify strengths, risks, and areas needing focus across departments, divisions, and demographics

Accessing Heatmaps

To view a Heatmap:
  1. Log into Teamgage
  2. Navigate to Huddle > Results from the left-hand menu
  3. Select Entire Organisation or the highest-level team within your division
  4. Click the Heatmap tab at the top of the Results dashboard

Features Available Across Both Views

The following functionality is available in both the Grid and Node Heatmap views:

Relative View (Compare To)

Heatmap results can be viewed relative to a selected comparison, such as:
  1. A previous period (e.g. last year or previous submission cycle)
  2. The entire organisation
This helps highlight how teams are performing relative to a benchmark, rather than just viewing absolute scores.
Notes
Example: A score of -2 in Accountability means the team scored 2 points lower than the comparison period or organisational average.
