Using Date & Compare to filters in Huddle

Using Date & Compare to filters in Huddle

How to compare results over a period of time

When comparing results, you can update the:
  1. Date - The date of the results you're looking at.
    1. This is the main number in your Metric card
    2. Default is set to current day (Today)
  2. Compare to - The date that you'd like to compare the results on Date to.
    1. This is date that will help calculate the Change number in your Metric card
    2. Default is set to the day before your previous submission
This way you can compare the active results for the date selected (Date) against the active results for a different period (Compare to) and see how results have changed between those two periods and look for improvements or areas for development.

As an example

  1. You can set the Compare to date to the date of your last meeting
Hint! Use the Launch Page to see the date of your last meeting.
  1. Alternatively, you can set to any period e.g. new project start date, period of turmoil

Here's why it is useful

Lets say a team one months ago had a Teamgage dashboard full of results in amber and red. It’s a disaster. They then get a new leader and do lots of work to make things better.

Today their dashboard with a  Date of  “Yesterday” is all green. Awesome! They can then set Compare to as “From 6 Dec 2023" to see exactly how much positive change there has been. Workload Management has changed by +11 in that month, while Blockers has changed by +10. This is really good validation for the team that what there're doing is working.
