Senior Leader Quick Start Guide

Teamgage Huddle Senior Leader Guide

Teamgage Huddle gives Senior leaders real-time visibility of how their teams are performing and supports you to identify what's working well and where teams need additional support. Below are our recommendations for using Teamgage as a senior leader.

Review combined team results

Review the combined team results and team heatmap
The Heatmap feature allows you to easily view and compare all of your team's results in a single report. You can dive deeper into the comments, timeline and actions being created by clicking on your combined team report and drill down even further by selecting an individual team's results.

Idea
Bookmark your heatmap and regularly review it to identify the key themes and focus areas across your teams

Discuss key themes and focus areas with your leadership team
Focus areas are easily visible in your heatmap, these are fields that are red or amber in some cases this may be certain metrics or specific teams.

Key themes may be identified by analysing the comments received in the team reports. These can be particularly helpful for surfacing the context behind why team results have changed or are in the red and amber zones.

Idea
Discuss the key themes and focus areas as part of regular meetings with your direct reports.

Prioritise the focus areas and actions that will be owned by the leadership team
During this meeting you can use these themes and focus areas to guide decision making and create actions that will be implemented by the leadership team.

Share overall results

Share a summary of the results as part of your regular communication cadence e.g Town Hall, newsletter etc.
Visibility of management reviewing and acknowledging submissions by their team encourages submissions so it is a vital part of the process.

IdeaYou can share results directly from your team dashboard or PDF print the overall results and attach to your internal comms. Include a brief summary of the focus areas and actions being implemented!

Drive accountability

Review the activity rates (meetings held, actions created) with team leaders to highlight the importance of actioning team feedback.
In your Heatmap you can easily access the number of meetings held and actions created by each of your teams. We recommend reviewing this with your leaders  to keep them accountable for closing their team's feedback loops.

Idea
Review meetings held and actions created as part of your leaders regular performance reviews to highlight the strategic importance of using Teamgage.
