Using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) As a User

Teamgage supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to provide enhanced security for your account. When enabled, you’ll be required to log in using:
  1. Your password, and
  2. A 6-digit verification code generated by an authenticator app
Warning
If your organisation uses Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA will be managed by your SSO provider, not Teamgage. This guide does not apply in that case.

How To Enable MFA

  1. Log in to your Teamgage account
  2. Click your User Icon (top right) > Manage Account
  3. From the left-hand menu, select Manage > Security
  4. Under Multi-Factor Authentication, click Activate Now
  5. A QR code will be displayed
    1. Open your authenticator app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or another of your choice)
    2. Scan the QR code to link your Teamgage account
  6. Follow the prompts in your authenticator app to finish linking
  7. You app will now generate a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds
  8. Enter the latest code into Teamgage and click Verify
  9. If successful, you’ll see a confirmation screen, MFA is now enabled on your account
